An international conference on “Oriental Source Studies and Historiography in the beginning of XXI century”
dedicated to the 90th birth anniversary of Orientalist-Armenologist Aram Ter-Ghevondyan (1928-1988)
will be held օn June 20-22 , 2019 in Yerevan.

General topics:
• Muslim world and Armenia in Medieval Period;
• Arabic, Byzantine, Assyrian, Armenian, Georgian, Coptic, Persian, Ethiopian and Ottoman sources and Armenian History;
• Caucasus and Arabic world in the Bagratunids' age;
• Armenian-Arabic cultural relations;
• Oriental Codycology, Epigraphy, Monetary Science;
• The problems of the Bible research in bibliography of the Christian Orient, the theory of translation;
• Research problems of Classical Oriental Source Studies: the past and the future.
The sessions of the conference will take place under the chairmanship of the NAS RA (address: Baghramyan av., 24).
Main working languages of the conference are Armenian, Russian and English. It is envisaged that the duration of the reports should be 20 minutes: 10 minutes for the speech and 10 minutes for the questions and answers.
Expenses for travel from abroad and accomodation are expected to be covered by the participants themselves.
