On October 30, 2024, Professor Boghos-Levon Zekiyan- Corresponding Member of the Institute of Science, Philology and Art of Venice, Foreign Member of the NAS RA, Doctor of Historical Sciences- visited the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA.

During the meeting, Acting Director of the Institute, Gohar Iskandaryan, emphasized that thanks to Professor Zekiyan's great efforts and contribution, a serious school of Armenian Studies was established in Italy and, more broadly, in Europe, which continues to work actively on the implementation of joint academic projects.

In light of this, Professor Zekiyan stressed that efforts will also be made to expand the scope of cooperation and to implement new research projects in collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies.
