By order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the results of the “Consolidator grant for scientific units-2024” competition have been approved:

As a result of the competition, the program submitted by Levon Hovsepyan, Head of the Turkey Department at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA, titled “Applied Studies of Contemporary Azerbaijan” (code: 24LCG-6A016) has been funded.

The research program is aimed at addressing, modeling, and implementing applied studies of contemporary Azerbaijan that correspond to the security needs of the Republic of Armenia.

The goal of this program is to inventory, analyze, model, and systematically carry out applied research on the key issues related to contemporary Azerbaijan’s internal and foreign policy characteristics, transformations of its ethnic, religious, and linguistic map, identity and ideological landscape, and security.
