The results of the “Research Competition in the fields of Social Sciences, Armenian Studies, and Humanities,” implemented by the Young Scientists Support Program (YSSP), have been summarized.
As a result, the project presented by Veronika Torosyan, a junior researcher at the Department of Turkish Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies, and Ashkhen Gevorgyan, a PhD candidate from the Department of Iranian Studies, on the topic “Iran-Turkey Competitive Policy in the South Caucasus: Armenia’s Security Risks and Opportunities” was funded.
The research aims to study the developments in Iran-Turkey relations and their conflicting interests in the South Caucasus. The goal of the research is to provide a comprehensive picture of the developing Iran-Turkey competition and its consequences for Armenia’s security, especially in light of the recent presidential elections in Iran.
