On May 13, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia hosted Mohammad Khosh Saadat, a representative of the Caucasus Institute at the University of Tehran.

At the start of the meeting, Director of the Institute, Gohar Iskandaryan, introduced the guest to the structure of the Institute, its departments, and the key research areas pursued by its scholars.

Mr. Khosh Saadat highlighted the potential of Armenia-Iran cooperation to address gaps in social, economic, and cultural spheres. To promote mutual understanding, he emphasized the importance of student exchange programs, reciprocal visits to scientific and cultural centers, and the implementation of joint research initiatives. He also described Armenia as a strategic partner and underlined Iran’s “red lines” in the region.

Ms. Iskandaryan, in turn, stressed the value of organizing roundtable discussions and conferences, and further developing cooperation through the co-authorship of academic publications.
