On October 16, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Gohar Iskandaryan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, held an online meeting with representatives from Goris, Vanadzor, Shirak, and Gavar State Universities.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between the Institute and the mentioned universities. Both sides emphasized the importance of implementing joint initiatives in education and research, focusing particularly on the following areas:

-Development and implementation of joint research projects

-Organization of conferences, seminars, and training courses

-Involvement of young researchers in the Institute’s projects

Director Gohar Iskandaryan highlighted the Institute’s readiness to support the development of the scientific potential of regional universities by providing professional consultation and expert assistance.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a clear roadmap for cooperation with the aim of signing memorandum of understanding and establishing long-term partnerships within the framework of scientific collaboration and experience exchange.
