The library fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA has been replenished with 137 professional books on Japan. The donation includes publications on Japanese politics, economics, culture, social development, and linguistics, presenting up-to-date, scientifically valuable materials in the field. The books were provided within the framework of the international READ JAPAN PROJECT program, which is implemented by the Tokyo Foundation with the financial support of The Nippon Foundation. The received literature is an important contribution to the development of the Institute’s scientific research activities, the deepening of studies in the field of Japanese studies, as well as the expansion of the professional capabilities of young researchers and students, contributing to the enrichment of academic resources in the field and the formation of a scientific environment in line with international standards. It is noteworthy that a significant role in the implementation of the initiative was played by Eva Harutyunyan, a senior researcher at the Department of International Relations of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA, and a Japanese scholar, whose initiative and concerted efforts made it possible to organise the program and implement the donation effectively. The Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA also highly appreciates the consistent support and friendly attitude of the Embassy of Japan in Armenia toward the Institute's activities and toward strengthening Armenian-Japanese scientific and educational cooperation. The donation is another testimony to the mutual trust, academic partnership, and continuous development of cultural dialogue between the two countries.
