On February 19, 2026, an informational meeting was held at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA, with the participation of Tigran Arzumanyan, Head of International Grant Support at the Department of International Relations and Youth Programs of the NAS RA. The purpose of the meeting was to present to the Institute’s researchers the opportunities of international grant programs, the funding instruments of European scientific programs, and the procedural specifics of the application process. Both ongoing and upcoming calls for proposals were discussed, with particular attention given to the mechanisms for engaging international partners. Tigran Arzumanyan presents the activity of the scientific and newly partnership support center (SIPAC) which operates in Armenia as an office of “Horizon Europe” program. The directions of the center՛s aim to support of the the participation of Armenian scientific institutes and researchers in international grant programs as well as to support the procedure of partnership with European colleagues. The main topics of the meeting was also “COST ACTION” program, within the framework of which the Institute of Oriental Studies has a collaboration. The meeting was an important step toward expanding the international engagement of research institutions of the NAS RA. Participants had the opportunity to receive practical guidance and to clarify the development aspects of their project ideas.
