
The Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia is pleased to announce an international conference “Cultural Relations between the Armenian Highlands and Asia Minor in the 2nd–1st Millennia BCE,” held on October 12–13, 2026.
Conference Main Topics
- Historical, linguistic, and cultural relations between Asia Minor and the Armenian Highlands in the 2nd–1st millennia BCE;
- Mythological, archaeological, and iconographic relations between Asia Minor and the Armenian Highlands in the 2nd–1st millennia BCE;
- Social relations in the Armenian Highlands and Asia Minor during the 2nd–1st millennia BCE.
Additional Information
Working languages of the conference: Armenian, Russian, and English.
Presentation length: up to 15 minutes.
The conference is organized within the framework of the 2025 Grant Program for Enhancing Scientific Efficiency, Project No. 25RG-6A052, “Cultural Relations between the Armenian Highlands and Asia Minor in the 2nd Millennium BCE.”
Participation format: both in-person and online participations are possible.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to decline any application without explanation.
