On April 7 the Institute of oriental studies hosted 30 students from the Student council of the Faculty of International Relations of the YSU, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a ground for academic discussions.

During the meeting Director of the Institute Goar Iskandaryan delivered a lecture on recent developments in the Middle East. A special attention was paid to the tensions of Iran-USA-Israyel relations, the underlying causes and possible development scenarios.

The lecture was structured not only with the principle of sharing knowledge but also with the engagement of the students. The participants had the opportunity to express their views and receive comprehensive answers.

At the conclusion of the meeting the two most active students were encouraged with symbolic gifts monographs by Gohar Iskandaryan.

The Institute of Oriental Studies will continue to promote such initiatives, emphasizing the importance of student participation in academic and analytical processes, as well as supporting their professional development.
