On October 4, 2023, a meeting took place at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS of the Republic of Armenia between Director Robert Ghazaryan and Mr. Mohammad Asadi Mohavedi, newly appointed Director of the Cultural Center of the Iranian Embassy. The discussion focused on implementing the provisions of the 2022 Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute and the Cultural Center.

Director Ghazaryan noted that several points of the Memorandum have already been fulfilled, while efforts continue to realize the remaining ones. Ms. Gohar Iskandaryan, Head of the Iran Department, presented a jointly developed roadmap, highlighting that most of its provisions have been executed.

Among the key topics was the preparatory work summary for the international conference “Stability and Modern Challenges of Security,” scheduled for November 28–29, 2023. The meeting also addressed the planned signing of joint memorandums with the University of Tabriz.

It was emphasized that regular meetings like this are crucial for advancing scientific and cultural cooperation between Armenia and Iran.
