The Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA) is pleased to announce that four research proposals submitted within the framework of the “Promoting the Efficiency of Scientific Research -2025” Grant Program competition have been approved for funding.

This competitive program, announced by the Higher Education and Science Committee, requires the mandatory involvement of an international research partner, fostering international scientific collaboration. The funding for the approved projects has been confirmed by an official order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

As a result of the competition, the following applications are guaranteed funding:

1. Bozoyan Azat

Identity Tran sformations in the Near East in the IX-XIV Centuries (the Armenian Phenomenon)

The foreign partner of the Project is Sergio La Porta (USA)- California State University, Fresno

2. Hmayakyan Hasmik

The Cultural Relations of  Armenian Highlands and AsiaMinor in the 2^ND Millennium BC

The foreign partner of the Project is Ilya Yakubovich, Ph.D. (University of Chicago), Dr.Habil. (Moscow State University), who holds a research appointment in the Department of Comparative Philology at the University of Marburg.

3. Gasparyan Aram

Security issues of North African Arab countries in the context of regional conflicts.

The foreign partner of the Project is Vasiliy Kuznetsov. Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, PHD of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences

4. Harutyunyan Anush

Interethnic relations and the problems of statebuilding processes in the South Caucasus (from the beginning of the 20th century to the modern period)

The foreign partner of the Project is Katarzyna Iwona Maksymiuk

PhD in history, Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities.
