In November and December 2024, three candidates of degrees defended their theses at the “World History” professional committee of the Higher Education and Science Committee of RA operating at the Institute of Oriental Studies of NAS, RA: Regina Galustyan (topic: “The role of European thought in the process of forming the ideology of the “Union and Progress” Committee and its impact on the Armenian Genocide”, defended in the speciality “World History”), Gor Hovhannisyan (topic: “The dynamics of political identity change in Turkey in the 1920s-2023. The synthesis of Islam and nationalism”, defended in the speciality “World History”), Vahe Hakobyan (topic: “The influence of Ibrahim al-Halabi’s “Multaqa al-Abhur” (“The Merging of the Seas”) work on the development of the Hanafi religious school on history: Comparative analysis of manuscripts", defended his thesis in the speciality "History, source studies"), who received their PhD diplomas from the Committee on Higher Education and Science of RA.
