
Recently, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA has significantly increased its attention to the educational component of research programs. The Institute's researchers continuously receive invitations to present the results of their research in the audience of students and young researchers. The interrelationship of science and education is extremely important in terms of fully revealing the scientific-practical and applied significance of studies.
On October 11, 2025, Head of the International Relations Department of the Institute of Oriental Studies Araks Pashayan delivered a report on the topic "Weakening of the Armenian Factor in Syria in the Context of the Awakening of Damascus-Baku Relations" at the 13th Autumn School of the Association of Young Historians "Mediation as an Alternative Option for Overcoming Conflicts". After the report, an active discussion took place, during which the Middle Eastern direction of Armenia's foreign policy was addressed, as well as the current situation of Armenian communities formed in Arab countries, especially Syrian Armenians․
