
On November 25, an international conference titled “China-Armenia Strategic Partnership: Subtexts and Perspectives” was held at Yerevan State University. The event was organized jointly by Yerevan State University, the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA.
Gohar Iskandaryan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the NAS RA and chair of the first session of the conference, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of deepening Armenian-Chinese scholarly cooperation.
During the conference, among other speakers, researchers from the Department of International Relations of the Institute of Oriental Studies presented their reports:
- Aram Abajyan- “Armenia’s Participation in the Processes of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Achievements and Prospects”
- Armen Manvelyan- “China and the Eurasian Transcontinental Routes”
The conference brought together leading Armenian and foreign scholars, experts, and diplomats on a single platform to discuss new directions of cooperation between China and Armenia, regional developments, and contemporary challenges of international politics.
